A Sneak Peek Into 3 Of Vietnam's Most Picturesque Spots - Exploring Our Globe

2020 has been a crazy year to say the least. Undoubtedly, we are all living through a part of history and this has meant that exploring overseas has largely been put on hold. However that doesn't mean we can't dream about 2021 and beyond?! Here at Exploring Our Globe we are still determined to showcase the world's beauty to you all and where better than the incredible beauty of Vietnam? So get your camera or iPhone ready and prepare for more wanderlust moments as we take you to 3 of our favourite Vietnamese destinations.

1. Sa Pa

Sa Pa, in the Hoang Lien Mountains in North-western Vietnam, will blow you away. 350 kilometers from Hanoi, this town is worth a visit and many photographs that will up the anti of your album are waiting to be taken.

Eating the local Pho from market stalls; interacting with members from the 5 tribes of the area around town dressed in their traditional attire; touring their villages and learning about the local and relatively unchanged way of life; purchasing stunning bright traditional fabric and climbing the country’s highest peak here for breath taking views- are all definitely on the cards for you.

2. Ha Long Bay

This well known UNESCO World Heritage site made up of 1,600 limestone islands and inlets awaits you. These azure and jade waters, best visited between March and May or September to November, are the place to be.

Experience the best of Ha Long Bay via traditional Junk Chinese boats on a cruise length of your choice, an overnight one highly recommended. Preferably avoid the cheapest options as you will definitely know you have done so- but don’t even go for the most expensive one either, as mid-range trumps these in atmosphere. Kayaking and cave exploring is a must on one of these trips.

3. Phu Quoc

Island life is what we are about! Over half of this island is national park thus remains pristine. For top class beaches you don’t get much better, and for views too. This is the perfect spot to chill out like never before, sink in to your spot on the beach and take it all in. Throw in a couple of photos while you’re at it!

And if you feel like activities, it doesn’t fall short of them either. Hike to and explore the Suoi Tranh Waterfall, soak in the natural pools en route, watch insane sunsets at Long Beach and enjoy time on one of the best beaches out there- Mui Ganh Dau Beach.
